The My Step Challenge is a fun and simple way to raise money for the BHF. With every pound you raise and your support, we will be closer to beating heartbreak forever. I will be aiming to walk/run 500,000 steps beginning 11/01/2021 into February, in memory of my late aunt Christine Bañez. Unfortunately heart disease runs in my family - which is why BHF is a charity so close to my heart. We sadly lost my beloved aunt Christine on the 28/12/2020 due to complications following a heart attack. She was a wonderful, kind, generous, joyful and glamorous woman. A sister, a wife, a daughter, a mother. A woman who truly gave her life in service to the Lord and to her children and family. My family and I thank you all for the support during this difficult time. We especially extend our thanks to the ICU staff and specialists of Northridge Hospital Medical Centre in Los Angeles who took the most excellent care of my aunt and did everything they could for her. Any and all donations to this fundraiser are wholeheartedly appreciated and will go to the British Heart Foundation to carry on their work and research into heart disease - "beating heartbreak forever".
